Some Tips for the Mage in WoW

Mages serve two purposes DPS. Crowd Control. When you choose a mage, you need to consider a couple of points. Will be you 9 Twinking? Will you be gaming (Early player) or power levelling. Do you want to PvP or PvE. Are you the Melee "KILL IT" type? or the Hunter "KITE IT" type.

Generally put, the three mage specs go like this: Frost - Kite 'n' AoE. Fire - Kill'm Fast. Arcane - Kite 'n' Kill'm. Frost has long been considered best for PvP for its survivability. Its armors and additional ability to throw out frost nova's and freezing spells lets them keep their distance from melees. You can also buy cheap wow gold from our site.

Fire has long been considered best for PvE for its damage. Other than places like Molten Core, It's Pyroblast - Fireball - Fireblast - and so on damage was considered un-toppable. Arcane has always been lost in the mix, but has more pro's than a lot of people realize. By utilizing Arcane properly, you add an Extreme amount of extra spell damage, and use the basic Frost and Fire spells to your advantage.

For AoE levelling, Frost is the best way early on. Pull mobs, Nova, Blizzard, and so on. This is a spec guide, not a levelling guide. Later, around 40, Fire becomes the best Levelling spec since quests and players involve a lot more instances for quests and farming. Plus, the ability to kill mobs higher-level than you gives you better exp than multiple lower-level mobs as in earlier frost levels.

From 60 on, Arcane becomes pretty powerful. PoM/Pyro speccing with deep arcane let's you let loose with increased spell damage, spammed missles, and ocassional super blasts of power from fire. We personally suggest Arcane for just about everything.

We would go deep arcane for fun, PoM/Pyro for instances, and Icy Vein Arcane for PvP. For PvP, Spec your arcane tree with damage-stopping, armor-upping, and survivability talents. For PvE, Spec your arcane tree with mana-saving and spell-damaging talents. For fun, just throw all of your spec points in there wherever you want.
